corey says…We made the drive from Ventura to just east of Sacramento (about 430 miles), so there wasn’t too much to report from yesterday. the drive began through all kinds of citrus orchards and then up, up, up into the mountains. Once we reached the other side of the mountain, the landscape turned completely flat. It was all fields and stockyards for the rest of the trip.
Spent the night in Placervile… which used to be called Hangtown… because it used to be the site where they hung cattle thieves. Quaint little town.
Today we head up the mountain to Lake Tahoe, but we here just as a snow storm has rolled in and Fiona will need chains on her tires for us to get up there. It’ll be a slow trip, and we’ll need to be extra careful. It’s all part of the adventure, right.
