Cool stuff, huh?!
We’re doing this giveaway a little differently from past drawings. This time, we’re rewarding those who contribute to the Irish Fireside community. So the more active you are in our online community, the more chances you’ll have to bring home one a prize. Here’s how you earn entries:
- 1 entry per day for leaving a comment on the Irish Fireside Blog – www.irishfireside.com – each day you comment earns you one entry into the drawing
- 1 entry per day for leaving a comment on our Facebook Fan Page - www.facebook.com/pages/Irish-Fireside/76119078717
- 1 entry per day for retweeting one of our Twitter posts or including @irishfireside in a tweet – www.twitter.com/IrishFireside
- 1 entry per week for commenting on our YouTube channel – www.youtube.com/irishfireside
- 50 entries for submitting an article for our blog/e-newsletter (300-1,000 words – email corey (at) irishfireside.com for details – we love Irish travel tales, tips and Irish-American experience stories!)
- A whopping 200 entries if you create an online video that includes a reference to www.IrishFireside.com (if you don’t have a YouTube account, you can send the clip to us, and we’ll post it for you). If you’re looking for inspiration, you could create your own “To Arthur video” like they did over at www.GuinnessPours.net. Here’s their 10-second clip:
We’ll be spreading out the fun and drawing winners over the next three Fridays, July 17, 24 & 31, 2009 — We’ve extended the contest – Final drawings will take place Aug 7th & 10th.
FYI – we are looking for legitimate participation, so leaving comments like “cool” and “pick me” won’t get you entries. Liam’s mom will be helping keep track of everybody’s participation, so don’t even think of trying to bribe us. She’s got much higher standards than us, so she’ll probably punish you for misbehavior
Winners of some prizes must be prepared to prove they are over 21 years old.
If you’d like to see our prize list grow and have something you’d like to contribute to our drawing, drop me a line (corey (*at*) irishfireside.com), and I’ll see if I can include it.
Here’s “to Arthur!”
Elizabeth Baucom Gunn, Winner Joanna Haugen

YAY!! happy happy anniversary to guiness. thank you, arthur!
250 years is a long time to be making a product. Congratulations! I only wish I liked beer to try it! But my hat is off to them for what seems to be a job well done.
Netta
That FlipMinoHD Video Camera would be sweet to take with to Ireland this fall.
Awesome! Guess its time to break out the AV equipment!
Oh, I’m in for this! Wife & I will be taking our first trip to Ireland in about a year.
Congrats to Guinness. Loving the 250 Anniversary Stout
You guys are the greatest at giving out great prizes!
adding to the Guinness facts — musician Michael Black worked at Guinness in Dublin between leaving school and going on to university…
Absolutely LOVE Guinness! Hold my head up proud among all the B** Light drinkers! Hoping for some Guinness swag!
Mmmm… Guinness! I need to get back to Ireland.
While I am not fond of the 250th anniversary Guinness brew, I do love the original black stuff! Ah, to be sipping the stout and tapping my toes to some trad music in a pub in Ireland… Sigh.
Must be time to plan our next Ireland adventure! =)
Slainte!!
Guinness!!!!!! AH!!!!!!!!!!! Congrats Arthur.
liam’s mom! i am laughing! thank you, liam’s mom! we need your help on our site, too, sometimes.
i LOVE GUINESS. i am so happy you guys are celebrating! see you sunday!
Hey… here’s my video entry:
To Arthur! To Martha! To fathers! To lager!
I love Guinness, but I love IrishFireside.com and prizes more!
Here’s to the ‘black one’ and Arthur. Slainte. Arthur, here’s to another 250 alongside the Irish Fireside. Long live Guinness and St. James Gate, Dublin.
Our bus driver/tour guide relayed, while hurling his double decker bus through the Guinness grounds, that good Mrs Guiness had 21 children! It’s no wonder, said he, that Arthur was a workaholic!
If you haven’t been – you simply must go! Say hello to Jimmy in the Green Bus for me – and lift a pint to Arthurs wife!
Countdown to Irish Fest Milwaukee! Hop on Hop off bus in Dublin is the best. Especially enjoyed the wild, weaving ride through the narrow streets of the Guiness grounds!
All hail, Guiness.
Hiya
Just entered a Guinness sponsored ‘win a trip to Dublin’ contest here in Canada with a 500 word story of my husband’s “100 Pints of G in 2 Weeks” lunacy.
Can I submit that and qualify or do I need to reach into my huge bag of Irish stories to qualify???
Gwen McCauley
Ooo. That story sounds interesting. With your husband’s crazy antics, you deserve the 50 extra entries! Submit away… corey@irishfireside.com
Tipping one up! Well, not right now, metaphorically of course, it’s only 11:15 in the morning.
Beer is good; Guinness is better.
It tends to make your whistle wetter.
