A Visit with Mary and Her Stanley #9

I visited my cousin Mary and her son Tim. They have a phenomenal old-fashioned farmhouse on the top of a hill. There’s a gorgeous, curving, uphill driveway from the road to the house. Quite unlike most farm homes.
Mary is also quite proud of her Stanley #9 cooker. It’s the old-fashioned kind and she still uses it every day to heat the house, boil water and cook meals. She wouldn’t have it any other way. Must confess…I covet her Stanley #9 (made in Waterford Ireland!).
I should also note that Mary’s is one of the most welcoming homes in Ireland as well.
Such a great visit……wonderful meal….roast beef!
